Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963, to an incredibly musical family from Newark New Jersey is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of the singer Dionne Warwick. The singer beat the Beatles. The album sold 3 million copies the first year and over 25 million worldwide. The album won her first six Grammy Awards. Whitney, her album Whitney was released in 1987, and featuring the popular tracks What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, was a follow-up to her success from. It came with The Bodyguard (1996) that established her as the top selling album in music. The film and her part in it were not very popular, however the music and her interpretation of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You was a hit for a few months in the charts, and she sold more than 44 million singles and albums across the globe.
